@ianbetteridge I think it’s partly because of the likes and reposts. You post something that gets some likes, and it feels good, so without realizing it you slowly adjust what you post about to get more likes. This leads to funnier or more dramatic posts until it’s all just a performance for an audience.

And every once in awhile, there’s that rare soul that somehow manages to stay authentic.
