I’m old enough to remember when Apple was excited to build amazing hardware for people creating movies, music, and art.
@iChris It’s a good point. Even a MacBook Neo is enough for most creative apps, but Apple wouldn’t be happy only selling $699 computers. See also: ads everywhere, services revenue.
@manton I’m not as anti-AI as I sometimes snark about on social media, but it does make me sad that my kids are being told “build with AI” instead of “make movies or music in iMovie or GarageBand”.
