What’s the minimum viable process for recording and publishing a podcast episode and why is it still so difficult in 2026? Good questions being asked by Justin Jackson here.

@iChris Good post. I’m biased, but I think our new Wavelength 2.0 app goes a long way to improving this. Record, quick edit, publish. For Micro.blog Studio we also clean up some noise and level automatically.

@manton Yep Wavelength is a great option for these kind of quick episode posts. As a #podcaster šŸ˜‰ I want to have end to end control over my podcast, plus the flexibility that a podcast host provides. I wish it was easier to ā€œcross-postā€ from Micro.blog to Transistor, for example. :)

@iChris Yeah, sometimes a ā€œfullā€ podcast host is what you want. If there’s enough interest, we might be able to use the Transistor API to upload audio files.

@manton it’d be a neat idea. Not sure how many people would want it. But makes me wonder why there isn’t more app development like that. Maybe now that Transistor has a MCP out, people will do more hacking on it.
