To follow up on some of the replies I’m getting about my hard drive, my philosophy is that nearly everything should be in one place. Less chance you will lose something important. Backups are simpler. Work anywhere. Same goes for what I post on the web: everything is on my blog.

@manton But not use a cloud sync service like Box or Dropbox that also lets you work locally? That’s the one thing that scares me (losing my laptop or getting it stolen) about my data.

@manton I wish Apple’s hard drive (and iPhone memory for that matter) upgrade pricing was considered part of the great user experience, rather than where they add an extra 20-30% of markup.

@pratik I use Dropbox too. Everything on my laptop is on Dropbox or GitHub. I’m grandfathered into 3 TBs on Dropbox and love that everything important can sync there.
