@fiona I loved that book. The movie was a disappointment but I loved the book enough that I'm willing to give the TV adaptation the benefit of the doubt.

@fiona that trilogy is my favourite ever. Life changing. He's a wonderful writer.

@hollyhoneychurch Same! If the show is as remotely magical as the books I think it'll be a potent palate cleanser from GoT. I hope it can do that and set a precedent for fantasy storytelling that can be more than just violent and miserable.
