Okay, I really would love to get back into comics. I miss sitting down with the iPad and enjoy a good comic book story. Or even a physical book. But I rather stay digital. Physical books and comic books boxes can take too much space. What I have been debating is whether I want to do Mar... gabz.me

@Gabz I was never into comics, not sure if it even was a big thing here back then. But I have recently been getting into it.

I do for the most part stay away from Marvel because it is always this insane "first you need to read this” loop every time I try.

@hjertnes @Gabz I was never big on comics either, but have started reading recently. I really enjoyed Archangel by William Gibson, and Antony Johnston’s The Coldest City/The Coldest Winter

@helgeg @hjertnes I do like some of the MArvel stuff for sure, especially Thor, it tends to read more like actual mythology than punchy pumchu smashy smashy Marvel. Definetly enjoy a good Superman and Batman story arc but I enjoy much more the creator owned stuff from Image.

@hjertnes I have been wanting to check The Spider-Gwen stuff out. So many good books!

@Gabz I've been using Hoopla to checkout comics via my library. Is a pretty nice system and has a wide varity of publishers if your local library makes use of it. Taking out graphic novels makes catching up on stuff I've missed easy and the price couldn't be better since there are some books I don't really need to own lol.

@bix The webapp has a history tab, which doesn't appear to be in the android app - so I've started using the "favorites" and just marking off when I've finished something.

@bix ungh Kindle Fires are the worst. But the cheapo one is priced right... Of course it's so slow it's practically useless.
