I did create my own micro.blog theme on top of the default template. Once you get used to Hugo, it's all just HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. My code is a mess (be warned) but it's up on github if you'd like a look.

@sergio_101 I learned a lot customizing my blog and tried to pay it forward with a page of custom theme tips to try and help others.

@jimmitchell It seems like complex overkill but it’s not very difficult if you follow their instructions and it makes previewing your changes massively faster!
