Really excited to be going to Webstock this year, thanks to my employer, Lil Regie, who is sending everyone (all five of us!) I’ve volunteered for background stuff for them for three or so years BC (before child) but have never been as an attendee! So excited.

@herself Oh hey, you work for Lil Regie! I hope you enjoy Webstock. Haven't been for a few years (no longer right for me) but it has been fabulous. I'm still wearing Webstock Tshirts. (Disclosure: I was one of the original founders way back around 2006.)

@Miraz that’s so cool! What’s your first name? My connection with webstock is that Ben Lampard and I were flatmates and went to Otago together in the mid-90s, and I eventually met Tash when they started going out in Wellington. NZ IT is such a small world!! ;)

@herself Heh. Small world indeed. Say Hi to Tash and Ben from me. Funny thing too — two of the other founders, Mike and Deb have a family holiday home round the corner from where I live now.

@Miraz that is so funny! I’ll tell Mike how we found each other next time we are on work chat :))

@herself @miraz My secret dream is to speak at Webstock. Will there be a February edition?

@macgenie I'm not sure! I have heard the format might be changing a little, but I'm not really in the loop... I will definitely do my very best to name drop you @macgenie, if I get the chance! :)

@macgenie With any luck @herself will bring you the attention of the organisers. There's a huge amount of planning goes into Webstock and they'd start inviting speakers at least a year out. The Webstock timetable has been thrown into disarray by the requirements for earthquake strengthening in buildings around Wellington.
