I have two questions before I try and migrate starrwulfe.xyz over here because it also has its own fediverse account @starrwulfe:
Is there just one fediverse account per microblog account or is it per blog? So if I migrate my other site over here, can I have both abc.starrwulfe.xyz and starrwulfe.xyz or do I need to pick one?
Can the BridgyFed fediverse bridge be used by following @bsky.brid.gy with microblog fediverse accounts to talk with Bluesky?
@starrwulfe Fediverse accounts are per Micro.blog account, not per blog. They are basically tied to your profile... If you have multiple blogs that all feed into the profile, then all of those posts will go out to the fediverse. For BridgyFed to Bluesky... I'm not sure I've tested that. There's also the option to let Micro.blog cross-post to Bluesky, and it'll also bring replies back in.

OK I can work with that for now-- I am still in the throes of trying to import my current microblog into micro.blog and need some help please:
I've imported an XML file for posts from starrwulfe.xyz to the new temp blog here at starrwulfe-test.micro.blog (when this is all transferred, I'll transfer the domain and make it the new starrwulfe.xyz). The posts are showing up but the importer isn't downloading and rehosting the media files; they're still served off of my VPS. How can I fix that?
At some point I need to figure out how to either change the fediverse handle here from @starrwulfe to @starrwulfe. Can this be done?
@starrwulfe Can you email me the XML file? I’ll check out why it might not have copied the images. For the fediverse handle, currently that will need to be reset for the new domain. I’d like to make that migration easier in the future because right now you lose followers when it changes.
@help sure I'll send all permutations I have (I also have a static site version of my site if that makes things easier...)
As for the fediverse handle, is there a way to notify followers of the move like mastodon and friendica? My main handle is actually @starrwulfe so I'm hoping most people follow me there, but I was contemplating moving everything under my own domain here...
@starrwulfe I got your .xml files and I'm testing with them. On first glance, it all seems fine and should be working. Will report back in email when I know more.
