A view of a 6,700 metre high peak from across the valley. We had to climb to around 5,000 metres to get this angle.

@purisubzi What a shot!
@maique 🙏🏾 Another 90 seconds and we would have lost the view. That entire mountain was shrouded for the next three days.
@purisubzi Even better now that I’m aware of that. I love that part of photography, fleeting moments all the time...
@purisubzi Your photos and stories have tempted me throughout the last few months to explore India. Oh January you better come fast!
@purisubzi Thats a great view, and dedication to get it photographed. I searched for it on Apple Maps and Google Maps, but didn’t find it. I found Ladakh thou.
@odd Thank you! Yes, it was hard work. We started hiking/climbing around 3AM. Finally reached where we wanted to around 9AM. You won't find that location on any map, it's too remote :) Open this Google Maps link and locate the village of Likir. We were somewhere north of it and above it.
@chaitanya I can't wait to get out either. Most of my work revolves around going to remote places and I am really, really missing it.
@purisubzi Thank you for the link. That’s truly in the wilderness. The photo must look great on large prints! The location reminds me of the movie Lost Horizon, which may have been inspired by Kashmir.
@odd I hadn't heard of Lost Horizon! I'll look it up. Yes, that picture looks amazing as a large print, especially on metallic paper. I made a set of A2 sized ones a few months ago and one of them currently is hanging in my bedroom.
@purisubzi @odd Oooh, I remember seeing Lost Horizon as a kid. The story made a huge impression on me, and I wondered if such a place could really exist.
@macgenie Yes, I saw it as a kid too, and wondered if there were such a place in the Himalayas or so.
