@manton with all the extra goodies coming to premium micro.blog - have you ever given any consideration to a micro.blog Lite 😬 and by that I mean a paid plan that just gives a timeline within the app that you can post to and respond to posts, without the blog or other elements? Just a thought along the support for Mastodon instance lines.
@hall Yes, for a while I've actually wanted a $1/month text-only blogs plan. But I also don't want to overcomplicate prices. Still thinking about it.
@manton I’d happily do a $3 per month plan for this as mb talks nicely to other social networks and feeds of self-hosted blogs.
@hall Thanks! I think $3 feels too close to $5, personally. Seems harder to make the case for why those plans would be different. Good feedback, though.
@manton FWIW $1/month hits my personal subscribe-to-something-I-appreciate-without-even-thinking-about it threshold (actually £1). Above that I have to think about whether I'm going to get "value" out of it. Not saying $2/3 isn't good value for the service, but I subscribe to a bunch of things at $1 without even reading/using them. (I do not currently have a subscription to micro.blog)
