@manton sorry if this is in the knowledge base already, I just had a look and couldn’t find anything specific: is it possible for a post (not a reply) on here to send a webmention to an externally hosted blog?

@h If you @-mention the domain name, it should send a Webmention to external blogs, e.g. @www.manton.org. Having said that, it's not tested very often, so let me know if it doesn't work.

@manton I'll give it a go, thank you!

Presumably I'll have to @-mention the entire URL? e.g. @www.manton.org/some/post?

@h Oh, sorry, there’s no automatic way to do that for a specific post. You’ll have to edit your post to add the right Microformats and send a Webmention manually. Not sure how to integrate that as a built-in feature.

@manton Ah that's okay, I'm sure I can work that out. From memory it's roughly including the URL and then using something like telegraph (or curl) to send a web mention

@h @manton I am trying to do that automtically for the last couple of weeks but without success. You can use a RSS feed and use IFTTT with a webhook, but I think it will send all the webmentions again. I can send them manually each time I write a post but what I want is to send a CURL command automatically. Have to find a way to do that.
