@aa I’m sorry that your having to live with what amounts to a weeping wound. “Splinched” seems an apt metaphor.

I will encourage you that trying your best for your son is really worth it. Every bit of love you share together is real and I’d dare say helpful. There are many parents who can’t handle what you and his mother are doing. Needing breaks to protect yourself and heal sounds healthy.

@gregmoore I appreciate the encouragement. I do need to figure out how to get breaks that are done in a positive light. Right now I've pulled away a bit but mostly due to a negative interaction.
