🥢 I’m back at my fasting routine. 17hrs and 30mins today (and counting), but thinking about lunch for hours now…

@maique I’m with you on this. I average 18-19 hours.

@gregmoore Left the house to get some groceries, so that will add an extra 30 mins 🙂

@maique Grocery shopping on an empty stomach. Not a good idea. :)

Haha, @Parag sniped my comment. 😄 Shopping on an empty stomach would cause me to buy all sorts of horrible foods.

@maique Man! How? It's just been only a few hours since I last ate and I am already hungry, waiting for my dinner.

@Parag Came out of the supermarket carrying only what I had on the list. I'd call that a victory... ☺️

@amit I'd say, as with most things, habit. First days are a bit harder, but then you get into it. The less you eat, the less you'll crave, I've found.

@gregmoore Serious questions about fasting.... What was the reason you started doing it? (you don't have to answer if you don't want to) Are you thinking of stopping it when you achieve the goal? Also, fasting means no solid food but, drinking coffee/tea is OK?

@Parag A few years ago I casually began what I guess is called “intermittent fasting.” Basically, I don’t eat anything but water or coffee between dinner and the next day’s lunch. I started in order to give my stomach a rest from having to constantly digest. It wasn’t a weight thing. It just makes me feel better.

My job involves me sitting in front of a computer so it’s not like I need many calories to do that.😂 I work out in the evenings so lunch and dinner are the meals I take a lot more seriously.

@gregmoore That is just what I'm doing. We have early dinners, no snacks after that, and skip breakfast, which is something I usually did anyway. Late lunch is also a favorite here, so the hours will just keep ticking away. Also no beer while I'm doing this. Weight goes does, body feels much better. @Parag

@gregmoore Thanks! There are many guides on the interwebs but, it is good to hear about someone's personal experience.

@Parag Yeah, it’s important to listen to your own body and learn what it’s telling you. Some mornings I wake up famished from a particularly hard workout the night before so I just eat something small and healthy. I don’t make a thing of it.
