My perfect mechanical pencil would be the design, build, and feel of the Rotring 600 plus the lead-rotation mechanism of the Uni Kuru Toga. As it is, I really like both of them on their own and use each one almost every day. I just with the Kuru Toga felt more solid.

@petebrown Exactly. I love the way the Rotring feels, but the Kuru Toga just writes so nicely.

@bobwertz Much as I love the Kuru Toga, I keep reaching for my Pilot Legno

@petebrown I'd love a Rotring with that mechanism but if Uni would make an all metal version of the Kuru Toga Roulette, it would be my perfect pencil.

@petebrown Oh Lord. Why do I feel that this will be my new addiction? Mechanical pencil ads were already calling my attention since I bought a kit of Graphgear 500 to my daughter, and now I see this discussion about Kuru Toga, Rotring...
