Help me pick the next book I read:
One of many sports books (Jimmy Johnson’s memoir, Scottie Pippen’s memoir, a hockey book, etc)
A Star Wars book
Game of Thrones
A Stephen King book
A Jack Reacher book
Or something different (Please specify).

@greghiggins Have you read Firestarter by Stephen King? I can recommend it. Or the stand if you want something more substantial. And Game of Thrones is also a good idea.
@V_ I have not read either of those yet. I do have The Stand in my library. Which of those would you recommend reading first?
@V_ I just read the synopsis of it. Looks really good. So I added it to my Kindle. I'll start with that one. Thank you!
@greghiggins Is that "Turning The Thing Around" by Jimmy Johnson? That was one of the books I repped when I was a foreign rights agent in NYC, and I sold it to a Mexican publisher. I thought it was a good book, but I'm from Miami, so I had more than passing interest. Has he written something more recent? I'm really out of the book business!
@greghiggins my vote would be for a Stephen King book. I haven't read much of his work but the ones I have read were pretty good reads.
@greghiggins I’ll second (or forth) Stephen King! The Stand, if you haven’t read it yet.
Or the first 5–6 books of The Dark Tower series (I think every SK reader has their Dark Tower number, which is the one where they gave up. Mine is 7.)
@greghiggins If you like sci-fi, I can recommend both as great, easy reading sci-fi. I’d also throw in Alastair Reynolds’ books, which are grouped into several different universes. Galactic North is a set of novellas set in one - the Revelation Space universe.
@greghiggins Definitely second the recommendation of The Expanse. I feels like a King novel in terms of pace, prose, and characterization, but they can actually write endings. ;)
@josephaleo I will check this out. Thanks
