@odd @vincent @greghiggins That reminds me that I’m due for a clear-out. Much like Vincent, I am fond of restricting the device to strict functionality.
@SimonWoods @vincent @greghiggins I could probably clear out some too, yet my phone doesn’t seem cluttered. A lot of the apps are in the “nice to have, just in case” category.
@SimonWoods @odd @vincent I will admit that this has me rethinking some of the apps I have on my device. I’m a wee bit over that 13 number (sarcasm included)
@vincent Holy mother. I have to get this down to 29 apps? Oh wow…ok. Challenge excepted. But it might take me a few days to work through this.
@vincent That actually is a good system. And it would really force you to consider what you need versus want.
@vincent I ended up cancelling Endel and I have no idea if I miss it or not. Strange, such a lovely app but I am absolutely unsure of its effect on my productivity.
@vincent I’ve started the process.
@vincent Follow up to our conversation. Six days in and I have been successful without a task manager….except for bill paying. I keep all my bills and when they’re due in Reminders. So I’m still using it for that but that’s it. I’ve turned off notifications for Reminders.
Now, as far as the apps….I’ve deleted around 100 but still have a ways to go.
@vincent For sure. I think I may wait until I do the fresh install with iOS 16 and then start over with the process of reinstalling.
