@garciabuxton you’re definitely not! It’s funny because I was having this same discussion with my wife a few days ago. Except that you conveyed it much better. 😅

@Gaby @garciabuxton I feel we need some kind of Facebook withdrawal (in both the literal and the figurative sense) support group.

I’m going to miss a few relatives and college friends I don’t otherwise keep up with and two groups: guinea pigs owners and Orphan Black fans.

@macgenie as someone who has done the Facebook withdrawal already, it’s actually surprisingly easy if you make sure to have a book, camera, something else, to keep yourself busy when you reach for your phone. I’m about to completely remove myself from Instagram, hopefully it’s as easy to do as FB was.

@macgenie @gaby Ha! I think I mentioned somewhere that Micro.blog does feel like group therapy for Facebook users trying to kick the habit. :)

Jean, I admire you and anybody else who has cut the cord or definitely plans to do so. I'm in the same boat as you insofar as the relatives/college friends/groups. (In the case of the latter, there's a few groups that solicit cards and other happy mail for sick kids and lonely seniors that I like to follow.) Someday I'll make it there, but I expect I'll be on the fence for a while.

@garciabuxton @matpacker @macgenie i have cut Facebook before but I failed and opened a new one about 6 months later. However, ever since I started participate and be more active here in micro.blog, I look at my Facebook less and less. The app it’s in a folder that i never oh attention to. I have my Micro.blog to cross post to Facebook so if anybody there can still know and read about me. Instagram in still debating. I love photography and sharing my photos and instagram does give some sense of exposure, but again at the end of the day is just sharing my pictures are just like my blog, share and write even if only one person sees them.
