On the latest @coreint, I update @danielpunkass on the winter storm that hit Texas this week. Trying to stay positive and even laugh a little about it, but this has been a disaster for nearly everyone. The cold is finally behind us. Still no running water in most of Austin.
@manton @danielpunkass after Hurricane María I spent 6 months without power and 2 without water. But at least it was tropical weather here in Puerto Rico. Can’t imagine how hard it must be in that cold. Hope it gets better soon.
@gabopagan @danielpunkass Wow, that is so long... Even weeks would be incredibly difficult. I'm so sorry Puerto Rico went through that. (And I wonder if there will be any movement this year on statehood.)
@gabopagan @manton the reponse to Hurricane Maria was shameful. Living in Florida I was not envious of what was happening in Texas this past week and compared it the numerous times we've dealt with hurricane outages. I would much rather deal with that than be freezing for days. That said, I would probably be singing a different tune if I experienced what @gabopagan did. The longest I've gone without power was a week.
