Can someone tell me whether Reeder 3 is a good? People rave about it, but it looks like dev for it has slowed.

I’m currently using Inoreader, but they don’t handle newsletter very well. I’m interested in trying Feedbin, but need an iOS app for it (pref. loads full article).

@vishae Reeder 3 is very good, but you are 100% right that dev. seems to have slowed lately. I would recommend taking a look at Unread

@vishae I use the Mac version of Reeder daily. I don't love it, but it is fine. If you are looking for a iOS rss reeder I'd take a look at Unread, because that app is awesome.

@vishae I use Reeder because it works as a stand alone RSS reader with no separate account/service required.

@vishae I always use the web app for Feedbin. But my usage of RSS reading is rarely on mobile. Feedbin web app is great on desktop and iPad.

However I am always lured to that simple no fuss reading interface of Unread.

@vishae I use Reeder on both Mac and iOS. I think it’s good, but it does receive less attention these days. At least when it comes to updates.

@vishae it’s not quite what you asked, but I use Unread. Very nice app.

@vishae If you give Feedbin a trial try the mobile site because it's pretty good already.

@ryanbooker @eli @hjertnes @amit I have tried Unread before, but it never really jived with me. I do like the multi-account feature, but Unread has too much empty space - every tab and folder takes up so much realestate.

@stefp @amit re. Feedbin mobile browser view, I’ll be giving that a try. I have to say I really like their website on my desktop, and their keyboard navigation is pretty good (it always boggled my mind that the Inoreader website allows you to navigate between articles using the keyboard, but won’t let you scroll within the article itself, also that their iOS app allows you to easily load the full article view, but on their website, you have to reload the article in a separate tab. Feedbin desktop website can load the full article just with the keyboard shortcut “c”)

Update: I’m trying out “lire” now, and it’s not too bad. Handles Feedbin pretty well - and I like the layout they use. But it doesn’t seem to handle Inoreader tags very well - even though it lists the tags, the app insists there’s no articles in those tags.

@vishae One thing I like about Unread is the clean reading experience. But then I agree, they have overdone it throughout the app. And the swipes too are designed with a mobile in mind - I feel they do not sit well on iPad.
