🔖 Read On Pandering. This piece made me think about how lucky I’ve been to always be writing for my past or future self or for a body of colleagues that is mostly women.
@kimberlyhirsh Oh, man. I couldn’t stop reading this essay. Oh, men. I worked in ground zero of that particular corner of literary publishing, and I still get creeped out when I think of the pandering I did myself.
