I know that people tend to scoff whenever Apple tries to enforce desktop minimalism but I’m a big fan of the new desktop stacks feature. It’s really handy when exporting edited images for the Web. They just sit there neatly!

@martinfeld Agreed. The latest version of macOS is the best! Stable, fast, useful.

@numericcitizen My experience with it has been great and I’ve found it to be very snappy. My only complaint is about an odd bug that restricts Apple ID login for the Mac App Store. It’s a bit weird!

@martinfeld I usually don’t have much on my desktop but I’m giving it try after your post

@fcy Yeah I clean my desktop regularly anyway but it’s good if you’re working on something and want files to be accessible and orderly. 🙂

@martinfeld I think I’m liking it, all my forgotten-after-I-share screenshots are grouped in one place that I can easily delete

@fcy Well if that's the only enhancement, it's a pretty handy one! 🙂

@fcy @martinfeld For years now I've used an excellent app called Hazel to keep my Mac tidy on my behalf. It does things like rename and file exported images I use on my blog, empty the Trash regularly, put all downloaded PDFs in one folder… I wouldn't be without it.

@Miraz Thank you very much for the recommendation! I’ll check it out.
