Also just set up some Micro.blog tagmoji as formatting macros in MarsEdit. Now I just need to remember to use them.

@RianVDM right now it just adds the appropriate emoji at the end. Simple, but easier than pulling up the OSX emoji keyboard (which I just actually learned about today!)
@RianVDM hmm. that is a good question! I am not sure, though @manton included a bunch in his longer post announcing the change. I'd imagine if you host on micro.blog it would be picked up in longer posts while self-hosted might be more of a challenge since just the title and link come over to MB. Maybe Manton can confirm...
@endonend @RianVDM It's the same for Micro.blog-hosted or self-hosted, and it has to be in short posts. For longer posts with titles, it won't check for emoji, because I think it would be confusing for posts to appear if you don't see the emoji in the timeline.
@smith in MarsEdit, on the post compose window there should be a Format dropdown in the toolbar. Open that up and click Customize. Here you can add your macros. First I created a Group (under gear icon) and then added each. I just added the emoji in the Opening Markup box for each macro. Hope that helps!
@endonend I really need to explore MarsEdit a lot more. I use it pretty frequently for work-related posts, but haven't spent a lot of time getting to know the software really well.
@pauljacobson I just bought it like a week or so ago. Still have a lot to learn, so I'll share any more tips I find.
@endonend Oh this is awesome! Thank you! You should write a blog post about that. It's very helpful :)
