@endonend

Tasks and busyness never stopped filling in the recently vacated space afforded by checking off tasks and optimizing my calendar.

Amen. Awesome write up! I’ve bookmarked it to share liberally. 😊

@endonend Thanks for sharing this! I finished the book months ago, but still have not processed my notes. I promised I would, but knew it’d be hard for me tk actually do it.

The Buffet prioritization thing is actually frightening to me, in part because it makes so much sense. I generally have an idea what my top 5 are, I get frustrated that I don’t spend enough time there, and I also wouldn’t want to give up the next 5 things. It’s good to continue wrestling with this one.

You also have me considering going back to Things and dropping Todoist. Though probably I shouldn’t because the time to convert isn’t worth the subtle improved experience.

Would love to read a follow up in a month or two if you have it in you!

@bjhess I started the prioritization list tonight and it's already proving difficult to pick a top 5. I am going to try to see it through though, as it does make sense. Todoist is a great app. I looked at it briefly but didn't want to add another subscription to get the full benefit. And after looking at Things and seeing a good match of the ideas from the book, I was sold.

I will definitely follow up!

@endonend I bet that top 5 is a challenge! And then comes the resisting of the top 6-25!

Since I already have Todoist, I'm kind of stuck. I'd like to get rid of the subscription, but will have to decide if it's worth the time to convert (back, because I used to use Things, though I'm guessing my license/version is all out of date).

@endonend I did not write my top 25, but did write out my top 5 this week. Subject to change, but it is pretty eye-opening considering what I wrote and what I do. I think this will be helpful.

@bjhess that’s a good idea. A smaller set is probably best for short term planning anyway. Thanks!

@endonend I think knowing the other 20 is good to avoid being distracted from your stated priorities. Maybe I’ll do it at some point.
