@jtr @manton, do these seem right?

  • Putting HTML into the edit box seems to mostly work.
  • A "post" that starts with a reference to someone else (@jtr@toanaw.com) shows up in timeline, but not as a post, not cross posted.
  • org files exported to markdown via ox-hugo appear to be different than what's landing in my local hugo content/ directory. There is at least some further processing of links. micro.blog complains about the hugo exported md files, but it looks like the ones in the content/ dir may be OK.

@eludom also

   - things that show up in the timeline (not as posts), still get
     exported to feeds (e.g. mastadon)
   - If I delete the post and repost, it shows up 3 times in the feed.
   - There is no option to edit things you post in conversatons, only
     remove.

@eludom Posts that start with an @-mention are treated like replies and not blog posts, so that's working as intended. Micro.blog stores them separately, but they're still accessible from Hugo. The export/import, I'm not sure what's happening... Need to dig into that more. Micro.blog does auto-link plain URLs.

@manton thanks. Im on a learning curve with micro.blog and liking what I'm learning.

I'll explore what's happening with link exports. I have been writing in emacs org mode, exporting captions to images as figures, sometimes a little complex resulting (org hides it all) ... Links in the figure text, further links to the CC BY license credits. I think my local hugo server massages the markdown in ways beyond what a straight markdown export does. I'll try to sort it out. Thanks.
