Beautiful cold morning. Let’s play “guess who was stalking around my house last night?” I’ll provide some tracks and some reference points. Bonus photo of mostly iced-over pond.

TracksCommon animal tracks in my state.

@toddgrotenhuis I was going to guess raccoon, but you don’t have a magnet for that. Must be a bald eagle, then!

@dwalbert @toddgrotenhuis @jabel I don't see claw marks so I'm guessing a cat. Canids and other similars, as those in your examples, leave small claw/nail imprints. So, some sort of feline. Small so a domestic cat would be my guess.

@Denny @toddgrotenhuis @jabel true, I don’t see snow often. The gait makes a cat plausible as well, I think? two feet delicately together at one point?

@dwalbert @Denny @jabel this was my guess too (other track references were a bit of a red herring, I suppose).

I walked around and found tracks starting from across the road, then circling the house and deck…checking for rodents, I expect.

Also lots of other tracks on the “critter highway” this morning (that’s what I call the path that bridges between the ponds, going from the creek to the woods).
