Now that Micro.blog will allow long videos, I’m considering recording my podcast in video format and not just audio. I’m curious if there’s a point in doing that?
@drose I don’t think most podcasts need video, but there is a standard I plan to add soon that can sync the playback between audio and video in podcast clients that support it. In other words, someone could watch part of the video but then switch over to audio seamlessly. That has been the missing piece for video podcasts to feel like real podcasts.
@manton oh!! I love this! Also? I totally agree. The thing that has me thinking about this is that so many people “listen” to podcasts via YouTube now since Google killed off their audio only podcast platform.
