There’s a lot of chatter about moving away from cross-platform frameworks, back to separate native code for each platform. I’m not convinced that is always a good idea. Creating apps is relatively easy now, but maintenance is still hard. For our 13 apps, we have 8 code bases. Overwhelming already.

@manton you wouldn’t have to maintain different codebases for each environment, we could let Claude generate code there like a compiler would. if you think about it that way it’s an incredible compiler. it generates its own intermediate code anyway.

@manton in other words, you don’t manage the machine intermediate code the javascript compiler generates. it’s totally invisible, i wouldn’t even know where to go.

that said i agree, we don’t need more languages, we need one language. imho of course

@dave Yeah, AI is capable of managing it. I like to keep at least the big picture in my head, and over time that might not be possible.
