Watching video from WordCamp, Matt Mullenweg mentions they should be putting WordPress profiles on their badges:

Why are we putting like Twitter handles and other stuff. We are the WordPress people. We should be… you know our WordPress profiles and our blog URLs as the primary thing we’re promoting, not these random other walled garden social networks, right?

I didn’t realize that they owned w.org too. See also: “hello my URL is” name tags.

@manton I like the “my url is…” that’s exactly the idea behind handles here on atproto

@manton they should have been more receptive to WordLand.

the action in the badges, its in the blogs.

as far as i can tell they’ve never had a blogging community.

@manton – i can’t edit my comments? is there a difference between a comment and a post?

anyway there’s a bad typo in my previous comment. i hope people will overlook that there was supposed to be an “isn’t” in there. whatever.

@dave I got the “isn’t” you meant. Yes, replies are stored separately, they can be edited under the Replies section.
