I still have “wow” moments with AI. Codex Security was one of those… It reviews the Micro.blog backend source regularly and not only flags potential bugs but also drafts patches. Today another one: I asked for a draft of release notes and it guessed to put them directly in the edited appcast XML.

@manton Dumb question Im sure you get asked a lot. But I’ve only used Codex (I know very odd), and never claude code. Do you like one more than the other? (Absurd question coming from a life long software dev, but i just never liked claude response quality in comparison)

@dain Not dumb at all. I’ve actually barely used Claude, because I was paying for ChatGPT when Codex came out, so it was more naturally to go all-in on Codex. My impression is GPT-5.5 and Opus 4.8 are comparable. I think Codex might have a nicer Mac app.
