I really tried to not let this nomination circus get to me, but it’s impossible. I’m just riddled with anxiety and anger.

I will either be watching the hearing or rewatching episodes of Voyager. Probably a little of both.

@EddieHinkle @cygnoir @cheri Thank you. I am watching the live hearing. I'm going to hear all the details whether I try to avoid them or not. This is better. I can form my own impressions before being bombarded with analysis and spin. (This is my first time seeing Senator Klobuchar in action. Another point to you Minnesotans.)

@macgenie I'm reading the live text updates via THE GUARDIAN. That helps by mediating the rawness of this a little bit. I can't bear to watch it, though... don't want to take on the kind of rage it would inspire in me.

That said, this approach has been only partly successful.

@grayareas I am glad to be witnessing Professor Ford's courage firsthand and I'm looking forward to hearing more of the Democratic Senators. Ironically, the Republicans's choice not to question directly has made it much more palatable. And Ford is doing a good job of answering the prosecutor's questions.

@macgenie I'm glad to see responses here embracing engagement in degrees sensitive to folks' personal resilience & well-being. I’ve been watching Dr. Ford's testimony between meetings today. My daughter will ask about this someday; out of respect for her & Dr. Ford, I feel I must witness.
