Excellent interview with Jay Graber on Techmeme Ride Home, on YouTube here. Clear framing of Bluesky’s goals and how the platform fits into the web. Sometimes I still can’t believe we’re all working toward a more open, social web again. 🎉

@manton I noticed Jay mentioned about a wish to have long form as well as short form content after Chris Messina spoke of blogging on the AT Protocol. Obviously, the 300 character limit is just an artificial limitation for the Bluesky app and, as a blogger, you wouldn't really have to do too much different. It's just that you need a client/UI to show that content in full.
With the talk of people having their own PDS it would be cool for blogging platforms to act as one so that you store all your own data and clients display it according to their preferences. Not sure how easy that would be in practice but it is where I'd like things to head as a blogger.
@manton I listened to this. A lot of thought had gone into BlueSky but there was much I didn’t understand.
@colinwalker I second this emotion and hope I can do the same at some point. The nexus is closer than ever these days
