The start of the sourdough season:

Bubbling sourdough starter

My home is never warm enough to sustain a sourdough starter during the winter but it will start bubbling away once the temperature starts to rise.

@Dunk I discovered this winter that yogurt mode on my Instant Pot keeps things at 100degrees, so a little water in the bottom with a bowl resting on top does wonders.

@cliffordbeshers The yogurt mode works well for sprouting beans, too.

@cliffordbeshers Thanks. I have tried various ways - I have a proving box which will warm it up; but I am not that dedicated/committed and am happy to use a nice organic fresh yeast during the winter.
