I’ve been ordering a lot of little things from Amazon lately as I try to turn my car into a micro-camper. Amazon has let way too many sponsored search results clutter up the buying experience. It’s going to hurt them long term if they don’t clean it up.
@manton I don't think they care. Reviews on Amazon is a mess, fake products are a mess. This year we haven't renewed our our Prime membership for this reason. It has become Ebay of about 8 years ago, while Ebay now is actually a much better marketplace.
@valera It's really too bad. And it's hard to quit because they've got us with Prime Video shows we like too.

@manton while I don’t disagree, it’s interesting to note that, of all the major digital ad platforms, consumers report amazon being their most preferred platform to see ads on
@manton I think it's already hurt them, bad. The feeling about shopping at Amazon today is very different than it was in 2017 before the ads money get into their veins and they were rendered helpless in resisting it.
The financials are but a lagging indicator. I think it's much easier to replace Amazon for people today than 5 years ago.
@manton Just saw yesterday that they are going to start injecting ads into anything you watch on Prime Video, and up the price of Prime if you want the ad free experience. Enshittification run amok. We canceled Prime last year and have not missed it. Walmart has better service anyway for that sort of stuff you buy from WalMart or Amazon.
