@pratik Ohio doesn't matter a great deal, but the electoral college system skews things. (Whatever happened to the effort to get states to endorse having all their electoral college representatives vote with the majority of voters countrywide?)

@the it has been enacted in 16 states, which is about 3/4 of what is needed. A bunch of other states have the necessary legislation pending https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NationalPopularVoteInterstateCompact

@pratik Because whichever state votes first, the outcome of that vote tends to frame how the media and the public thinks about the remainder of the race.
