What I’m looking for in a note taking app: works exactly like Simplenote, except it saves Markdown files to disk. Does this really not exist?

@pilch I've given Obsidian a real go, but unfortunately.

@jeroensangers I had forgotten about nvALT!! Though I wonder what I'd use on mobile.

@cdevroe Ironically, you can sync nvALT with Simplenote to access your notes on mobile 😉

@jeroensangers I'm sort of scared to turn on syncing since I have so many notes already in Simplenote.

@cdevroe Just make sure to back up your data and start from an empty nvALT folder. I have done it several times without any issue.

@jeroensangers nvALT? I did. There are a few "workflowy" type of things I do not appreciate about it. For instance, needing a title to a note before you can even start. Though I'm sure there is a way around that.
