@canion In my case, the setup I use is the RØDE Procaster microphone connected via the Audient iD4 to my computer. For post processing the audio I use the online Auphonic.com service.

@jeroensangers Thanks, that’s the mic I’m interested in. Seems like it’s necessary to buy a boom and shock mount as well, though?

@jeroensangers Whoops, I’m looking at the Rode Podcaster - not Procaster. Their product naming needs a rethink!

@canion The Podcaster does not need an audio interface. For all microphones you’ll need also a stand/boom (I have the König & Meyer 232 stand) and a shock mount (I use the RØDE PSM1).

@canion Thanks for asking! I use the Shure MOTIV MV5 and have it plugged directly into my iPad Pro via Lightning, then use Ferrite to edit the audio. You could go for a much more professional set-up but it suits me very well. 🙂

@martinfeld That looks nice but I’m learning that for my environment a dynamic microphone will probably work best. Your audio quality is 💯 though.

@martinfeld I mainly want to explore a hobby, having listened to podcasts since the mid-2000s but only ever recorded two of them. I am thinking about using it for a father/son project.
