Everywhere we look — people walking on the sidewalk, people stuck in traffic, people shopping at the grocery store. Everyone is going through something, worried about something, seeing joy in something, feeling heartbreak from something. Remembering this can help ground us in discussions online too.
@manton Every person who comes in the public library has their own personal stuff going on. The one thing I tell new employees, as a colleague not a boss, is that every patron is there for a reason, and a positive interaction in the library, even if the patron is rude, may be the thing that actually saves that patron’s life.
