I’m so thankful for the young people who will take up the political fight from here. I’ll be 50 next year, have been obsessed with politics and progressive causes since high school. 2024 has burned me. I hardly care what happens. All I can focus on now is family and making a nice space on the web. 🇺🇸
@manton I feel the same way… but also know I’ll be keeping an eye on things as my fight or flight response kicks in. 😩
@manton I just turned 60. Yes, it has been a long time since VersaCom. I feel the same way. I mean, I’ll still vote and care, but honestly I have had my hands full with various issues as I’ve gotten older, and these promise to only increase. I’ll do the best I can, but one human being only has so much energy.
@manton Focusing on family can be political, for example, just modeling decent human behavior to the younger generation.
@manton I had some colleagues talk about how this election has made them feel galvanized and I just thought, I’m too tired. These colleagues? Young.
