Finished reading: Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman 📚
Yeah, that was good. Though I never really internalize books like this. Gonna process my Kindle highlights, though, and hope for the best.

@bjhess It worked its way into my brain, for sure. I also added a week counter to my Yonks app counters, and I am up to Three Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty. 😏
@rishabh So many! This quote might be the primary conceit:
Once you truly understand that you’re guaranteed to miss out on almost every experience the world has to offer, the fact that there are so many you still haven’t experienced stops feeling like a problem. Instead, you get to focus on fully enjoying the tiny slice of experiences you actually do have time for—and the freer you are to choose, in each moment, what counts the most.
Getting comfortable with that is the trick.
@bjhess Yeah, I hesitated before entering the data into the app. But then I remembered that this is exactly what I want to keep in mind when deciding where to put my attention and energy. My anxiety is caused by feeling like I’m not using the time with intention.
@jean I'm trying to imagine my state of mind at Three Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-nine weeks.
@bjhess Hasn't this been true since time immemorial? The other thing I'm hearing you say is to be comfortable being in the here and the now. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
@rishabh Yessir. Some of us need constant reminding. 😀 It’s possible I might share more notes down the road
