With great platform power comes great reader responsibility: birming.com
@birming couldnāt you change the site header so it only exposed the full posts feed? That way it will be the default and people wonāt have to do anything.
@kev With my subscription plan, thatās not possible. Good idea, though. Maybe I should upgrade from .one to .blog š¤
@writingslowly Haha š Honestly, when I look at your blog, I really like the mix. Maybe Iām being too hard on myself. Thanks, glad you like the photo.
@birming Not sure I understand⦠You can add titles for short posts now by editing a post or showing the title field for a new post (under āā¦ā on the web, or the gear settings menu on mobile). Also, what feed reader is showing āuntitledā? That is a bug in the reader. Feedbin, NetNewsWire, and others properly show short posts.
@manton I was thinking that if I publish a short post without a titles, like a finished book, the first characters could be used to provide a title. Example: āFinished reading: Be Useful by Arnoldā¦ā for a better reading experience
Iām currently using Mire. Maybe thatās the problem š Gonna check out something else. Thanks!
@birming I see. Yeah, the problem is that adding a title often creates a worse experience for feed readers that understand blank titles already. It is possible to edit your blogās RSS feed to always include a title, but to be honest I donāt recommend it.
