@help @manton I think my attempt to add descriptions to my newsletter posts caused an endless loop. I’ve removed the offending code but my posts are still stuck. Can you help please? Sorry for the mess.

@artkavanagh Have you tried forcing a total rebuild? That may get you unstuck. 😊

@sod Thanks, Sven. It doesn’t seem to have helped.

@artkavanagh After clicking the rebuild button, do you get any errors in the log below?

@sod Not as far as I can see. Here is a screenshot:

@artkavanagh Yeah, there might be something going on there. A full rebuild takes a while and usually ends with a line like this:

2022-01-20 12:59:52: Publish: Done for artkavanagh

@sod Thanks again, Sven.

@sod I think it’s just repeating the same actions over and over again. For example, I’m seeing this quite often:

Publish: Already queued, scheduling +2 minutes artkavanagh

@artkavanagh Yeah, maybe that's what's happening. Weird that we don't get any error messages. I think @manton has to get involved here. 😊

@artkavanagh @sod It looks like your plug-in (which was customized) had a couple of templates with a blank filename, which got Micro.blog stuck. I'll fix this, and for now I've manually renamed those templates to "missing" on your blog so that everything will work again.

@manton Thanks Manton. These may be templates that I deleted yesterday (i.e. after the blog got stuck on Wednesday) because I thought they might be causing the problem. For example, “tabarchive”.

@manton I’m wondering if the problem might have had something to do with the fact that the email for Wednesday’s long newsletter post (since deleted) went out before the post itself had finished being published? Will that cause difficulties in future? Anyway, thanks: it all seems to be working now. // @sod

@manton @sod Judging by the files you renamed, it looks as if I was trying to put JSON data files in the wrong place (i.e. in the data folder instead of a subfolder). Sorry about that.

@artkavanagh @sod Glad it's working now. I'm rolling out a fix for this today so it won't happen again.
