Does anyone have strong reasons for NOT including the full text of an article in your RSS feed?

The only thing I can think of is to drive traffic to your site, but I’m sure there are other reasons — I don’t know very much about this stuff. : angelo.micro.blog

@AngeloStavrow I think that’s the only reason and I really do like people making that decision. Also why I love the fetch-full-text in Feedbin and why I keep paying the service.

@amit You know, I've been using Feedbin for years, and I never realized that was an option. Thanks!

@amit When you say you "like people making that decision", do you mean the decision to only send out summaries with their site's RSS feed?

@AngeloStavrow I think that is the primary reason, but publishers may also be concerned about other websites republishing their articles in full.

@johnbrayton That's a fair point. Certainly a motivated plagiarist can scrape any site they want, but RSS pretty much automates the process for them.
