After many past threats, I guess it’s time to finally get off Arc.

@bjhess I guess an acquisition was inevitable, but still a bummer. I’ve really been enjoying Dia.

@manton I’ll admit I haven’t tried Dia. Still using Arc due to inertia.

I suppose in theory there could be more investment in Arc again, but somehow I doubt it.

@bjhess Yeah, I think this is officially the nail in the Arc coffin.

@bjhess @manton You think so? The email I got has a bullet point that says:

Arc and Arc Search will continue to exist; we’ll share a long-term plan soon. The Atlassian team loves Arc and has a Slack channel with 1,000+ Arc fans!

A long-term plan surely can’t mean maintenance mode or abandonment.

@eurobubba @bjhess Hmm, that is not included in the email I got! They must’ve sent a different email to Arc and Dia users. Well, if they can maintain both, that’s great.

@eurobubba Hope!

@alpower @bjhess I think I’m going to keep using Dia for now. Easy to switch away if they mess it up.

@alpower I have looked a bit at Zen. It seems an okay approximation of Arc. Being honest, though, I might stick with Arc as long as things don’t get worse.

@manton Yeah, I might do the same with Arc.
