Persistence finally paid off. In about 15 minutes this morning, between about 0545 and 0600, I saw 10 meteors from the Eta Aquariids — two streaks and 8 flashes.

It was very moreish, but also very cold and a cup of tea was calling…

@Miraz Wow, how lovely, but also, brave. The last time I stayed up to do something similar, clouds blew in and it was a bust! So congrats on seeing them.

@Miraz Cool! After many unsuccessful attempts at viewing meteor showers, I have finally learned that early morning is the best time for viewing and not at night.

@Parag I think for this it was a matter of the radiant not being above the horizon until a couple of hours before dawn… My first meteor shower though. Generally where I live if something interesting is happening in the sky then it’s cloudy…
