Got derailed into posting something too negative to my blog. Nothing wrong with constructive complaining, but today was supposed to be about new software. Good, positive stuff. Just a note to myself to not lose the big picture next time.
@manton I get derailed like this ALL. THE. TIME. Not sure I’ve used any particular function more than “delete post”
@manton My method for staying positive in a discussion is to maintain the ideas that: (1) everyone is entitled to their opinion, and (2) a discussion isn’t a zero-sum game. If I notice either is ignored, the discussion is over, and what remains is a “shouting match.”
