Please let me have
a 10-room house adjacent to campus;
6 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, formal
dining room, frplace, family room,
screened porch, 2-car garage.
Well maintained.
And let it pass
through the eye of a needle.

@ReaderJohn I’m about half way through her book _Fields of Praise. _ It’s remarkable, like all the potency of Toni Morrison distilled into poetry.

@isaacgreene Have you read anything else of hers? Is Fields of Praise the best of hers you’ve read? (I’m on an intentional poetry emphasis in my reading right now, and just encountered her. Also very interested in Jeanne Murray Walker, anthologized in the same volume)

@ReaderJohn Fields of Praise is all I’ve read, but it’s a huge collection. About 250 pages of poems. I read it 8 or so years ago and I’m finding even more in it the second time around.
