Success :-) Leather box for the hand cut cigar matches that I make.
@aa OK, I wanna know more about those cigar matches. Do I spy one end being sharp? Is that so you can punch a hole in the bottom for smoking?
Curious minds...
@patrickrhone Oh I hope that’s what the sharp end is for because that’s a cool idea. And, @aa, as always it looks great.
@jabel @patrickrhone each end is whittled to shape, just for a unique look. In a pinch you could definitely use it to punch a hole in the cigar, in a pinch. Such a small hole will most likely contribute to a bitter taste as the cigar is smoked though :-)
@jabel @patrickrhone the intentional design here is the thickness of each match, 3x thicker than your standard cigar match, also the perfect length. Up to sixty seconds of burn time, plenty to light a cigar using just one match.
@aa True. Cutter is better, Speaking of which, seems like this pouch could incorporate a pocket for a slim cutter to slide into. Hmmm...
@patrickrhone oh absolutely! I make a small pouch for carrying six or so of these matches, has a striker on the back. On my list to get to eventually is expanding the design a bit so it can also carry a cutter, useful for when you don’t have, or need to carry, the cigar case that I make.
@jabel here you go. This is the starter-ish pack. Pouch with striker and 18 total matches. Then the leather box with 50 or 100 matches as refills.
