@pyrmont I've thought long about this one, but won’t switch for a couple of reason:
1. I don't think Apple's system is full featured enough, nor ready for use outside of Safari.
2. I'm not sure I'd like all of my passwords tied to my Apple ID, which is one of my most important accounts.
I’ve waited literally years for Apple to make “passwords” more of a priority, especially since for my job, we manage over 1600+ iPads and Macs for students and faculty. For some reason, Apple still hasn’t even made “passwords” a separate app. Don’t get me started on how they don’t back any of this data up to iCloud for users with Managed Apple ID.
Meanwhile, 1P is security focused, has a good track record and their app works in more than just Safari. I am concerned with the VC funding they’ve taken recently, but so far, their service hasn’t suffered. I don’t keep backup codes in 1Password. I put them in Apple Notes and lock them.
