Maybe not so wild thought. The way out of the US political mess is for Liz Cheney to run for and get elected president.
@mbkriegh Maybe. At the end of the day, she’d still support the party platform, and it is not a good platform.
@UndamnedOne yes, if this presidential election were about policy, she’d be a nonstarter for me, though I do believe she and the platform would be pulled more to the middle in order to win. But the upcoming election is about the survival of the republic and she is the only one I can see situated to lead us successfully in that effort.
@mbkriegh I don’t think the pendulum is ready to swing left unfortunately, unless we go in kicking and fighting. (I mean like a completely unleashed Bernie Sanders.) And the Dems have proven they’ll never pick a kicker or fighter, so you might be right.
